Crews prepare for roundabout at Highway 500 - NE 38th & 261st Avenue

The Washington State Department of Transportation has announced plans for a new roundabout at the corner of NE 261st Avenue and NE 38th in Camas, Washington. Construction is scheduled to begin in July of 2023 and is expected to be completed within a year.
The roundabout is part of a larger plan to improve transportation in the Camas and Vancouver, Washington area. The new roundabout is expected to reduce delays from traffic signals and improve safety. It will also provide a more efficient way to enter and exit the intersection, while allowing easier access to surrounding homes and neighborhoods.
The Camas roundabout will be the first of several planned roundabouts in the area.
